University of Miami - School of Law

Miami Law's Communications, Marketing and Events staff provides assistance in print publication design, web design, various forms of electronic communication, media and public relations, and event planning. Our office also assists students, faculty and other departments in fulfilling their communication and publication needs. Our focus is to advance Miami Law's reputation and identity as one of the country's leading law schools. Our responsibilities include:

• Working with departments to develop effective communication and marketing strategies
• Maintaining the integrity of the Miami Law identity and brand
• Keeping the web site current
• Creating effective and professional materials, both printed and electronic

• News and Media Relations: Media Relations is responsible for communicating information regarding the University's achievements, faculty research, programs, and events to the local, regional, national, and international news media.

• Publications: This group designs the Barrister magazine, brochures, invitations, flyers, ads, posters and banners. We also assist in the writing of these pieces and write stories for the web. (Other departments should not attempt to design any print or electronic publications on their own.)

• Office of Events and Conferences: The Office of Events and Conferences is available to assist in planning all details of events. The staff offers guidance in coordinating room reservations, catering, budgeting, arranging facilities and AV support, and other aspects of event planning.
