Due to overwhelming demand, this year’s conference will take place at the Storer Auditorium at the University of Miami School of Business.
The Bankruptcy Skills Workshop provides new and experienced attorneys and their paralegal staff with an enhanced understanding of the specialized field of bankruptcy. Consumer bankruptcies have risen to an all time high. Knowledge of the substantive and procedural components of bankruptcy law, Local Rules and filing requirements in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida are critical. The University of Miami and the Bankruptcy Bar of Southern District of Florida together with the Put Something Back Pro Bono Program are pleased to present the 23nd Annual Bankruptcy Skills Workshop.
The Workshop will focus on various aspects of Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 consumer cases, including evidentiary considerations in lien stripping and valuation issues, procedures and thoughts from three of the new chapter 7 panel trustees, and frequently overlooked local rules.
