Robert Tobiassen Lecture on Alcohol Law (01-30-14)

The Southern Wine & Spirits Program in Alcoholic Beverage Law presents:

The Amazing World of Alcohol Law: Do You or Your Car Drink the Most?

Alcohol ... the only commodity addressed by two Constitutional Amendments, the focus of a monument in Washington, DC, and widely used to celebrate the good times and mourn the bad times. Alcohol raises significant tax revenues for the Federal and State Governments, creates jobs, and is the centerpiece of many public health debates. This lecture will give an overview of how the Federal Government regulates both the beverage and industrial uses of alcohol.
