Environmental law project

  • Startup venture for students and faculty interested in a broad range of environmental law and policy issues on natural resource preservation (air, water, and land), climate change, energy systems, and technology.
  • Addresses both litigation and transactional market models of environmental regulation for advocates, national and international policy-makers, scholars, practitioners, and business investors in cooperation with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, for-profit enterprises, and University of Miami graduate schools.

 

Health & Elder Law Clinic w/Schools of Medicine & Nursing

  • Training in Medical-Legal Advocacy, Public Policy, and Ethics
    • Health-related Rights of Families, Children, and Elderly in Poverty
    • Public Entitlements and Immigration
    • Permanency Planning (guardianship, living wills, health care surrogates)
    • 2002 – 2009: 1,007 cases

    • Critical analysis and legal education taught interactively through customized lessons
    • College Freshman and Upper-Level Honors Seminars
