What do all of
these organizations have in common? They are all interviewing at the The Equal Justice Works Career Fair and Conference.
This conference will be
held Thursday October 28, and Saturday October 29, in Washington DC. and
is open to ALL STUDENTS. All
students interested in working in public interest law either for the summer or
after graduation should consider attending. There is a list on the EJW website
of all of the employers that will be attending the conference, with information on how
to apply. Last year many of the students who attended received offers from the
program. DO NOT MISS THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY.

applicable) and class year. The University of Miami School of Law will be
paying for conference admission, and needs to register all students who plan on

FBI On Campus (everyone)

you've ever dreamed of an exciting career working for the FBI, FBI recruiter

Attorney
General's Honors Program
(Everyone)
The Attorney
General of Florida, Charlie Crist, will be on campus on Wednesday, October 20th
to meet with students about the Attorney General's Honors Program. Interested
students should keep your eyes out for a time and place - yet to be determined!
Attorney General Crist is a dyamic speaker, and if you have any interest in
working for the Attorney General's Office, this is a great opportunity to learn
what it is all about.

The South Miami-Kendall Bar
Association has extended an invitation to UM Law students to attend their
monthly luncheons. Each month, the SMKBA would like to host two students for
lunch. The October lunch will take place on Friday, October 29th
from 12-1:30pm at Flemming's Restaurant (East of US1 on S.W. 136th
Street). This is a great opportunity to network with local attorneys.

Presidential Management
Fellowship (PMF) Program (3L)
Interested in
Working for the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, the
FCC, or the EPA??? Then the Presidential Management Fellows (PMF)
Program may be for you. 3Ls interested in a two-year fellowship with the
Federal government should apply now. You will be one step closer to the start
of an exciting career with one of the many participating Federal agencies.
Through the PMF you will be given challenging assignments and exposure to
domestic and international issues in such areas as telecommunications,
technology, environmental regulation, criminal justice, education, health and
financial management, to name a few.

Government Opportunities
(IL, 2L, 3L)
Students interested in working with the government during
the summer or after graduation should visit the Career Planning Center and take a look at
the Government Honors Handbook in the Resource Room (pink cover). There
are many additional governmental agencies, other then the DOJ, that offer
opportunities to law students and graduates. Many of the Government
Honors Programs have early deadlines so don't delay.
Listed below are a few of the organizations that may be interesting to you for
both summer jobs and permanent positions.

Congratulations to all those of you who have
passed the bar. We know that you worked very hard to achieve this
accomplishment. Many of you are well into your job search. Please let us
know what we can to help you out. Remember that we are
here for you, and are available for resume review, career advice, mock
interviews, and general resources. If you are still looking for a job - don't
panic. There are many jobs out there, and we get information about more and
more every day. If you have found a job - please let us know. If you know of a
