The Career Development Office (CDO) is committed to assisting students and graduates of the University of Miami School of Law with their job search and professional development needs.

Among the CDO’s resources are its eight career advisors, all of whom have law degrees and are available to meet with students and graduates in individualized counseling sessions to discuss job search strategies and answer the many questions that arise during the job search process.

The CDO’s staff strives to maximize students’ employment by strategically marketing the School of Law to employers and promoting placement opportunities to students. Working closely with alumni, faculty and student organizations, the CDO designs seminars, workshops and panel discussions to give students broad exposure to job opportunities and the practice of law.
