Spencer D. Levine, JD ’82, was appointed by Governor Crist as Appellate Judge for the 4th District Court of Appeal on April 15, 2009.

 

Thomas M. Karr, JD ’82, was elected a Fellow of the American college of Trust and Estate Counsel.

Jeffrey M. Liggio, JD ’82, received the Al J. Cone Lifetime Achievement Award from the Florida Justice Association, which is given to an attorney who has pledged his or her life to upholding consumer rights and fighting for justice.

Hon. Jacqueline Hogan Scola, JD ’82, received the Mattie Belle Davis Award from the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers.

Henry N. Butler, JD '82, was named the first Executive Director of the Searle Center at Northwestern University, The Searle Center is designed to research how government regulation and interpretation of laws and regulations by the courts affect business and economic growth. 4/11/2007

 

Dorian Denburg, JD '82, Chief Rights-of-Way Counsel for BellSouth, was named an officer of The National Association of Women Lawyers 2006-2007 executive board. 9/12/2006

 

Ellen Goldman, JD '82, has been a Real Estate partner with Porter, Wright, Morris, & Arthur in Naples since 2001.  She married in 2004.

 

Spencer Levine, JD '82, spoke at the U.S. Health and Human Services, Office of the Inspector General Conference on "Strengthening the Government's Response to Medicaid Fraud" at the National Advocacy Center in Columbia, SC. He is the Director of the Florida Medicaid Fraud Control Unit and has recently lectured at St. Thomas School of Law, the Health Law Institute of the Florida Bar, and at the ABA's 16th National Institute on Health Care Fraud. 9/18/2006

 

John Paul Parks, LLM '82, relocated his office from Phoenix to Scottsdale, AZ. He practices in the areas of trusts, estates, wills, and probate.  Additionally, he received a passing score on the July 2006 California Bar examination.  He is the sole member of the law firm of John Paul Parks. 8/28/2006
