CONVERGE! Conference

Scholarship Information

Home   >  Academics   >  CONVERGE! Conference   >  Scholarship Information

We have a limited number of scholarships available to assist with the cost of attendance for those who have limited funds. The scholarships are intended to reduce out-of-pocket expenses (registration, travel, lodging*, and meals) to attend the conference.

Scholarships may be full or partial. We are continuing to fundraise for scholarships, but the funding is likely to remain quite limited. If you are able to access other sources of funding to defray your costs, please do so.

To Apply

To apply for a scholarship, please submit an essay that addresses the following information:

1) Name, contact information, organization(s) of which you are a part, if any;

2) Your engagement with gender violence issues and the importance of the conference to that work;

3) Your scholarship needs (full or partial).

Scholarship applications should be submitted by October 18. We will continue to review applications after the deadline if funds remain available. Submit your scholarship application to with the subject line "scholarship."

For More Information

If you have any questions, contact Sabrina Segura at (305) 284- 6276.

*Please note that our hotel space at the conference rate is limited. We encourage you to book a room at one of the two conference hotels now, rather than wait to hear whether or not you received a scholarship. The usual hotel cancellation policies apply.
