Schedule & Program
The nearest hotel is the Holiday Inn. The University of Miami has secured a block of rooms on a first-come, first-serve basis at a rate of $150. This rate will be available for reservations made on or before December 24, 2015. Reservations made after December 24 will incur a higher rate.
The University of Miami has negotiated lower rates with a number of local hotels, and conference attendees can book through the links on that page. Some attendees may wish to stay on South Beach, but just be sure to allow time for transportation. In rush hour, it could take up to an hour to reach the law school. Please note that the rates on our website are those of 2015 and may differ slightly for 2016. The 2016 rates will be updated within the coming weeks.
Miami International Airport is about 7 miles from the law school, and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is 31 miles away. Taxis are readily available at the airports, and both Uber and Lyft are active in Miami.
On Friday, attendees may park in metered spots along San Amaro Drive or in the Pavia Garage. Pavia Garage is located at 5615 Pavia Street and is a five-minute walk to the law school. The cost is $7.
On Saturday, attendees may park in the Purple parking lots (on either side of the law school) without a pass, but beware—the parking attendants will vigilantly issue tickets on Friday. Parking in the Pavia Garage is free on weekends. A campus map is available here.
