About Haifa

Haifa, Israel’s third largest city, is located on the Mediterranean Sea. Its location makes is a city of spectacular views, particular of Mt. Carmel and the bay. Haifa hosts the world-famous Bahai Gardens. It is a modern, cosmopolitan city, whose 265,000 residents include Jews, Christians, Muslims, Druze and Bahais. The city’s restaurants, museums, cultural performances, natural beaches and the Mt. Carmel National Park make it a delightful place to spend a semester. Tuition, Fees, Social Events & Housing

Students will pay tuition and other required fees to the University of Miami. Our students pay no tuition or fees to Haifa except for certain social events and discretionary fees such as for the gymnasium. Exchange students who come to Haifa are encouraged to enroll for the services of the university's International School. This allows them to participate in all of the social and cultural activities of the international school (including trips in Israel, parties and more), get the needed help in emergencies and elect courses which are offered by the international school too (in addition to the courses we offer). The international school also assures that they will have a place in the dorms. Details on activities and services offered by the international school can be found here.

If you need additional details or have any questions concerning the Haifa Exchange, please contact Professor David Abraham at dabraham@law.miami.edu.
